Homestay coordinators and managers are the unsung heroes in international education. It’s time that they are recognized! We will be presenting his award to one individual who has made a significant contribution to the sector over several years. Please see below for details on submitting a nomination.

Finalists: The list of finalists will be announced on Sept. 30, 2024

Announcement of Winner: On November 14, 2024, we will announce the winner at the Vancouver Homestay Professional Development Workshop. You don’t have to be in attendance to win.

Nomination criteria: The winner will have worked in the homestay sector for at least five years, serving with a Canadian homestay agency, school district, private school, college or university. To be nominated, an individual should spend the majority of their work time in homestay. Each nominee should demonstrate an outstanding record in student and host support, program management and host recruitment.

Can I nominate myself? Absolutely! We accept nominations from yourself, a colleague or program director.

How do I submit a nomination? Please use the Nomination form There is no cost to submit a nomination.

Who will select the winner? A committee of international educators in Canada will review the applications and interview the finalists.

The award: The winner will receive a certificate attesting to their achievement.
