Webinar on Chinese culture: Help your students integrate

International educators, homestay staff and hosts are invited to join us on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 1 pm Eastern

Every year, thousands of Chinese students come to Canada and the United States to study. However, the Chinese culture is dramatically different from North America. This webinar is designed for homestay staff, host families and international educators who work with Chinese students. It will explain the key elements of the culture and offer practical suggestions on working with Chinese international students and helping them to adjust.

About the presenter

James Maur has a deep and rich understanding of Chinese culture, having studied and worked in China for 10 years. A certified educator, he is a recognized specialist in Eastern Philosophy and a graduate of the prestigious Wuhan University. After graduating, he held leadership positions in the English-language program at Minjiang University. He is currently the Manager of Global Business Development of Niagara College in Canada.
