We\u2019re excited to again be offering this workshop in beautiful Niagara on the Lake, Ontario. A huge thank you to Niagara College for hosting the event.<\/p>

What you will learn<\/h3>

Here are some of the topics that we will be covering:<\/p>

  • Host recruitment: What can we learn from spies and salespeople about recruiting? We\u2019ll discuss how to apply their best practices to persuade more people to host.<\/li>
  • What do hosts really want? We\u2019re putting together a panel of experienced hosts who will share the keys to retaining hosts over the long term.<\/li>
  • Food fight: Meals continue to be one of the major sources of conflict in homestays. This session will offer practical tips around food and discuss ways to mediate between hosts and students.<\/li>
  • Burnout: Being a homestay coordinator is a tough job, with long hours, stress and resolving conflicts. This session will offer ideas on how to manage the challenges and keep a positive outlook.<\/li><\/ul>
